Seksualiti Merdeka is an annual sexuality rights festival held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, since 2008.
In November 2011, the police summarily banned the annual festival, saying they would not recognise any deviant movement that could destroy the practice of religious freedom.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar even warned the movement that the police would take action against the event organisers under the Penal Code should they continue with their event.
