minimART

2 July 2011 Saturday
Substation (45 Armenian Street)

minimART is an artist market dedicated for young contemporary artists and collectors. Inspired by the mushrooming numbers of art fairs in Singapore, minimART takes the form of art bazaar where artists can rent a space, approximately 1m x 1m (floor space) just for $30!

minimART will be showcasing original fine art works ranging from paintings, mixed media, print making, sculpture, new media, photography, installation, performance and other forms of contemporary practice. Works showcased, installed, for sale and experimented have to be priced under $1,000.

This is an event organised by artists for artists in Singapore! It aims to contribute to the development in local artistic practice, in particular young contemporary artists by encouraging constant production of art among the young artists in Singapore. It also hope to plant the seed of collecting local art among art enthusiasts with affordable artworks.
